Cosmetic Surgery - Ear Lobe Repair
Ear lobe repair is fairly straight forward. It takes one half hour and is done under local anesthesia. This is often done for torn ear lobes (often from children pulling on a hoop earring), but also in cases where pierced ears have developed enlarged holes, making it hard to keep an earring in. Sometimes the ear can be fixed without the need to repierce the earlobe, but if repiercing becomes necessary, I recommend waiting four to six weeks.
